In line with its vision to boost sustainable development in Iskandar Malaysia, Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB) is taking renewed steps to foster innovation and entrepreneurship among local industry players and stakeholders in 2018.
To facilitate the growth of local SMEs, the company has launched Iskandar Space, the largest co-working community and grass-roots entrepreneurship centre in Iskandar Malaysia. The aim of Iskandar Space is to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaborative working relations between innovators and entrepreneurs. Moving forward, the 8,000 square-foot co-working area will host a range of regular business partnership and mentoring sessions and investment networking events.
To complement these efforts, IIB is also moving to boost local innovation, exemplified by its participation in the inaugural start-up festival, IP Smart 2018: Create. The festival reflects the commitment of IIB and its partners to transform the economic corridor into a start-up and entrepreneur destination of choice in Southeast Asia.
